Your password and authenticator code are needed to add or remove a passkey, not for everyday passkey sign-in. Only one passkey is needed.

Authenticator two-factor verification
Protect your account with a six-digit authenticator code when signing in.
Scan this QR code using Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or another compatible app.
Authenticator verification is enabled. Password + authenticator will remain available as a sign-in option when passkeys are introduced.
Administrator accounts must retain authenticator verification until passkeys are available.
